TrailCare.com is designed to be super easy to use. Follow below for guidance depending on who you are.
I’m a trail user!
If you enjoy using recreational trails, all you need to do is download the app to your iPhone.
When you are out mountain biking, hiking, horseback riding, walking, trail running, snow shoeing, xc skiing, etc. and you come across a trail problem, just use the app to report the problem (Tree Down, Water Problem, Vandalism, Broken Structure, Missing/Broken Sign, Large Volume of Trash) where it is, on the trails.
You can do this anonymously – no need to create a TrailCare.com account (but you can opt to create an account for yourself, this allows you to do things like see only your reports)
I’m a trail steward!
First, thank you for giving of your time to help make our public trails such great resources! As a trail steward, TrailCare.com is intended to be a tool for you to know when problems are reported in areas you actively steward and more importantly: where the problems are.
As a trail steward, you should definitely register for a TrailCare.com account (https://www.trailcare.com/register). This lets you get notifications when anyone reports a problem via the mobile app. To get notifications you will create geo-fences around one or more parcels of land that you manage. Then, get the mobile app [link to Appstore].
Also, as a trail steward, you gain the ability to mark problems as fixed in the app and on the website.
I’m a land owner!
We all owe you a big thanks for having public recreation access on lands you manage! As a land owner, TrailCare.com is intended to be a tool for you to know when problems are reported in areas you manage and more importantly: where the problems are. This can let you direct your resources more effectively to respond to problems – as the problems get reported in real time by your trail users.
As a land owner, you should definitely register for a TrailCare.com account (https://www.trailcare.com/register). This lets you get notifications when anyone reports a problem via the mobile app. To get notifications you will create geo-fences around one or more parcels of land that you manage. Also, as a land owner, you gain the ability to mark problems as fixed in the app and on the website. In future versions of the TrailCare.com platform you will also gain access to specific features unique to being the land owner/manager of the property.
